What Guests Are Saying
The Scaler cabin offers a peaceful stay with excellent recreational opportunities nearby, making it a great choice for winter activities like snowmobiling. However, guests should come prepared with extra fuel, water, and toilet paper, as these amenities can be lacking. While there were some issues with propane and noise from a large gathering, the overall experience remains positive, with many returning for future visits.

We stayed at the Scaler cabin in the winter months. We rode snowmobiles there and then into the Upper Greys River area. It was a nice place to stay. We should have brought extra fuel for our snowmobiles.

I've stayed a Scaler several times. It's a peaceful location with recreational activities nearby. Be sure to bring your own water. TP was low in the outside toilet so this would be a good item to have as well. Dogs will have a great time chasing chipmunks as they scurry along the fences.

We were supposed to have propane. Without it we had to use headlamps in the evening to do anything. The next to last night a family reunion started with about 35 RVs and numerous people using the outhouse next to our cabin until midnight. I realize that Recreation, gov couldn't do anything about that, but it contributed to a less than stellar stay.

3rd stay at Scaler. Great cabin for sure. Short drive to Packsaddle Ridge for cell service for those who need to connect. Firewood was sparse. In the past there was wood available to split but not this time.
