What Guests Are Saying

The Superbowl Group Site offers great amenities, including ample parking, a sun shelter, tables, and a dedicated bathroom for group use. Reviewers note the friendly and responsive staff when contacted for inquiries. However, some concerns were raised about the uneven terrain for tent placement and tight access for multiple vehicles.

This is a great group site. It's nicely constructed, it's close to a bathroom, and has parking for about 8 vehicles. We reserved this campsite for 10 people to celebrate our "wedding." The scenery is absolutely stunning, and the location is close to all of the climbing Indian Creek has to offer. For anyone planning to reserve this campground - here are a few things we wish we knew: There are only two tables, so bring additional tables if you have a lot of folks coming. There is also really only room for 3-5 two person tents and maybe 3 closely-parked car/van campers at MAX. We had to reserve three additional campsites at the last minute to fit everyone comfortably (especially during COVID times!). The location within the campground is also a bit awkward, as there are two campsites beyond the group site - so if you don't reserve those campsites, you will have folks driving through your site. AND those campsites need to be reserved on location, you cannot reserve them online. I cannot see any possible way you could fit 30 people - just FYI. We only had ten people and it was hard enough. Overall though - we really enjoyed our time at this site and would recommend as long as you take all of this into consideration :)

The Superbowl site is located by the south entrance of Canyonlands, which makes it ideal to see the Needles or the Druid Arch. Its location allowed us to be the first ones on the trail in the morning. As a campsite, its views are absolutely stunning, especially at golden hour. You are surrounded by incredible red cliffs and formations. It's pretty barebones in terms of facilities -- no water, little shade, and the bathrooms are relatively clean but smell. Overall it's just a surreal place to wake up.

Group site was well maintained and perfect for our group of 26. There is plenty of room for tents and vehicles and the shelter was well built and very helpful for our enjoyment. The hiking trail on the mesa above camp was beautiful at sunrise/sunset. The only down side would be the lack of shade in general and the potential for epic sandstorms in the spring.

No place to put garbage. Are you kidding me!!? We had to haul our trash out in a full car with 6 kids. Not fun.

Alex, at this BLM office, has provided detailed information for my trip to Bears Ears. She is patient and responsive, it was a real pleasure to talk with her.
