About Superbowl Campground

Superbowl Campground is a good option for visitors wishing to recreate in the Indian Creek area of Bears Ears National Monument or be close to the Needles District of Canyonlands National Park. The campground is located south off the Needles Highway (accessed from Utah State Route 211), approximately 6.5 miles southeast of Canyonlands National Park and 13.5 miles northwest of Newspaper Rock. The campground provides 37 campsites that each feature a tent/trailer space, a picnic table, a fire ring, and vault toilets. Each campsite can hold 10 people and 2 vehicles. There is no drinking water at the campground. Reservations are not available for camping at this location. Individual campsites are available on a first come, first served basis upon arrival at the self-register kiosk at the site. The Superbowl Group Site is available for larger groups, and may be reserved here. The Indian Creek area is generally primitive and undeveloped, with few services.

Road in was very rough. Bathrooms (outhouse) was stinky to be expected. Did not accept our Lifetime Senior pass for the online registration. Site was fine.

We loved the campground! Beautiful sunsets and very quiet. Close to park entrance so very convenient on a daily. The only issue was that the kiosk charged us for two reservations for same night in same site.

Superpowers CG is a great place. Thoughtfully laid out with plenty of space between sites, convenient vault toilets and a user friendly check in process (even offline). Ideally located for accessing Canyonlands NP Needles unit. In addition to rock climbing, mtb, horseback & ohv riding. Highly recommend camping there. I know, I'll be back.

I’ve stayed here a few times now in the spring and fall climbing seasons. The bathrooms are cool and unique . They are open air rusted iron, sort of a roofed shed. No door, just a right angle hallway where you hang a chain across to indicate occupancy. You can’t see in, but there is a lot of ventilation. This is the quieter campground. Just to the north is Creek Pasture with normal bathrooms but it tends to be the party spot, if there is a party. Last few springs both have been quiet. Neither has water or garbage pickup. If you drive North 15 minutes there is a National park with both, even Wi-Fi. Both campgrounds have weak AT&T texting and iffy voice service. Winds can scream here, stake your tent well!
