About Creek Pasture Group Site

The Creek Pasture Group Site at Creek Pasture Campground is ideal for large groups wishing to recreate in the Indian Creek area, or camp close to the Bears Ears National Monument Indian Creek Unit of the Needles District of Canyonlands National Park. The Indian Creek area is generally primitive and undeveloped, with few services. The Indian Creek area is a popular filming area because of its classical "western" look. Both commercial advertisements and major motion pictures have been filmed in the area.

What Guests Are Saying

Creek Pasture Group Site is a spacious and beautiful campground conveniently located near Canyonlands National Park, offering a peaceful atmosphere ideal for large groups. The shelter is useful during rain, though it could be larger for accommodating gear. While there is no water or dumpsters, and the site has some maintenance issues, the overall experience is enjoyable, especially with stunning sunsets and ample room for various vehicles.

Beautiful campground! It's conveniently located just outside the Canyonlands National Park (Needles Area). We got the group site for our large family and the shelter came in handy during the rain. Note that there's no water and no dumpster, so plan accordingly.

The spot was large enough for our big group of 3 motorhomes pulling trailers a big 5th wheel camper and a truck with trailer. We came to jeep elephant hill and explore.
Nice & quiet. Away from everything. Solitude at its finest.
We were sad Indian creek was dry. And there was a huge pile of tumbleweeds in the site, which limited level parking.

We had a group of 4 truck/trailers and 4 passenger cars with tent campers for 4 nights in April 2024. Plenty of room for our group in the parking lot. We had a few travelers, not associated with our group, come through our site to turnaround and exit. I would like to see BLM put up a big "group site" sign at the entrance to deter other people from coming through the middle of our site. The bathrooms were a bit of a walk for the tent campers. No water in the campground. There are 3 picnic tables under the shelter. We had rain off & on and the shelter wasn't large enough for us, and our gear, to take cover. For a group site of this size I would have thought that the shelter area would have been larger. The evening sunsets were magical.

This is a great site, lots of room. The shade structure is great and the rocks give shade in the afternoon. Since it’s away from the individual sites and at the end of the road it’s quiet most of the time. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great spot, and you can fit a half dozen full size travel trailers easily. The only negative are the drive throughs who come through the site, one because you can't really read the group site sign anymore, and 2, because once you get to the entry point of the group camp site there is nowhere for people to turn back, there than going through the site. Other than that it is the best site in the campground and very reasonable if you are dividing it up.

Felt very remote. I loved the rocks nearby. Great way to see/experience the Canyonlands.

The group site was at the far end of the campsite, which our group found to have the best view of the area. It was clean and well kept and plenty of space for a large group.

Great site that is set away from the rest of the campground so it feels more secluded. The covered area was great for shade and a place to hide when it rained! There is not a separate bathroom for the site though, which we were under the impression there was. And we did have some cow visitors as well as their left overs....
