Remember that bug spray, and citronella candle. We got there right as a light rain passed and the mosquitoes were intense. Though once things dried out they mostly subsided.
The creek being right there is pretty darned cool for kids.
There was some concern about the vault toilets and I can say, if you are the first or last person there, make sure those toilet seats are down, otherwise, yeah, they are going to smell up pretty quick. All in all however, maybe a half a star above a porta potty?

things I wish I knew:
#1 the north fork campground has water if it's really needed. a gallon or two per person is probably enough to make it the weekend
#2 there is a shared trash bin at the entrance to the camping area
#3 Nyack sells firewood (about a 30 min. drive, you probably pass it on the way in)
#4 https://www.fs.usda.gov/alerts/tahoe/alerts-notices is where you can verify the current fire restriction level for this site
#5 there is SOME cellular coverage nearby, but the camp site is mostly 0

All in all, I do plan on going again sometime

It was a great experience, quiet. far away from the other Camp ground. Bathroom were near. The only bad thing was that there was no running water
