Park and people were nice enough but the road getting there is terrible. It rained while we were there and I was afraid that we were not going to be able to traverse the clay and slippery road to get out back to the paved road. Stressful experience. Ended up with clay mud all over the truck and camper but we made it out. Thank goodness!

Nice, quiet, remote campground with a couple problems: facilities are in serious disrepair/neglect with mildewed, dry rotted, and overgrown areas in abundance and there is no phone or wifi service at all. The main office has satellite internet, but it is not made available to guests, even for low volume texting or email checking, and it's ten to twelve miles to get anywhere near civilization. There are no trails for hiking, so road walking is the only exercise. I may return here for the price and privacy but will have to limit stay to a week or less due to its deficiencies.

Sites were very well maintained as well as the common areas. The host was friendly and very informative. Covered all the key points and Covid related issues. The only issue and it’s likely not the Corps of Engineers fault, was there was about a mile long section of road leading into the location that wasn’t paved. There was significant washed out areas and mud holes, then the last few miles are paved again leading into the park.
