The access road was in need of repairs. There were several areas that were washed out.

Great place to get away for peace and quiet time. Views of Spanish moss hanging down from the trees. And a water view with colors of pinks in the horizon reflecting on the water at sunset. The stars are visible because there are no lights to interfere.
The only problem with this park is the road going down to the park is very rough. It is a dirt road for a short distance. But the paved road area is buckled up and would damage your vehicle in spots. We were scared we would meet another vehicle while we were avoiding bad areas in the road.
It was worth driving 30 minutes to get diesel for the solitude.
