Judy and ed were just fantastic when I stopped in for an overnight on my way from pennsylvania to texas. They met me at nine p m showed me the stables, which were safe and then led me to a great powered hook up spot a stones throw from the barn. The entrances and roads were big and wide more than enough room to move the trailer around, and I think it's a fantastic spot only eight minutes from I20 with lots of hotels and restaurants close by. Definitely recommend as an overnight on a long haul!

Not much of a bathhouse here but we enjoyed the campground and the horse trails. We made it out to the lake!

Saturday was one of the best rides we’ve had in a long time! 🐎🌲
We took on the more challenging trails at Fort McClellan Horse Camp, and it did not disappoint.
They’ve done so much work on the trails and campsites since 2019, and it really shows. There’s a huge variety of trails clearly marked by experience level, trail rest areas with tables and mounting blocks, a sand riding arena, a store, and a barn where you can rent stalls for just $10 a day 😄
20 out of 10 — will definitely be back! 💯💚

First we invited 10 friends to camp and ride and enjoy our time together, but the staff was rude all weekend. Alcohol may have been the cause not sure. My wife and I rode a short ride Sunday morning after our friends left. After washing our horses off we cleaned our stalls like the rules read. Today I got a message with a 30 stall cleaning charge was sent a picture of fresh manure in one of the stalls. Our horses were never put back in stalls. With several attempts to contact the sender I have gotten no response. I guess they are desperate to get the new camp sights paid for. I gave a 1 because the negative wasn’t an option. PS take pictures of stalls before you leave. They will charge you 30 extra dollars. Knowing well we cleaned ours better than our neighbor’s stalls.
