It was a great experience! My only complaint would be the ants!

I’ve stayed at both site 36 & site 31. Beautiful river views all around the campgrounds. Showers/bathhouses are ok (I don’t expect camp bathrooms to be extraordinary) The two groundskeepers I’ve met were both super nice & quick to respond if needed. Site 31 has lots of shade, but also a lot of ants (they invaded my tent worse than I’ve ever seen) all sites have grills, poles with hooks, fire pits (with grill), and metal picnic tables. I’ve already booked my third trip. Bring everything you need because the closest gas station is about 15 minutes away & there’s not much of anything else around. Nice “beach” area with pavilions. Highly recommend.

Water was shut off due to main break no one let us know so we could catch up some water. The bathrooms are never clean. No air circulation in bathroom as well. No fan or anything. Grass around sites is ridiculous. Docks and all man made items are rotten with nails sticking up. Strange dogs walking through grounds and nothing ever done. Site 21 electric box needs replacing we had to tape our cord into outlet to have electricity. Swimming spot is over run with weeds and grass not safe for children. 4 days never saw one volunteer or employee doing anything at grounds. Used to be such a wonderful place now it’s just becoming a nightmare
