What Guests Are Saying
Pickensville Campground offers spacious, well-maintained sites with a beautiful riverside view, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and outdoor activities like biking. The campground is noted for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and peaceful atmosphere, with many guests expressing a desire to return. While some facilities, like certain bathrooms, show signs of age and there are limited full hookups, ongoing improvements are being made to enhance the overall experience.

I camped at site 117. It was a beautiful view. The camp host were wonderful. I could not have asked for more relaxing week. I truly enjoyed staying there and watching the river. I think the fishing was great too. I saw lots of people with lots of fish only I don’t fish.

From the first Day we arrived on lot 127 our neighbor had loud music every night. I was awakened the several nights after midnight, not only with the music but constant Dog barking. The dog was chained and reached almost to our picnic table. We couldn’t sit outside without being barked at. The Camp Host left the Wednesday we arrived and didn’t return until Saturday, So we had no one to complain to. We stay at COEs a lot but this was the worst Camping experience we’ve had anywhere.

Things we liked-good size sites, fun watching barges go by, lots of loops to ride bike around.
Things we disliked-ants (be prepared!), red mud by campsite 108, Verizon phone service was only 1 bar, many laundry rooms but they were all locked up!!! Come prepared with full propane tanks, we couldn’t find a place to fill nearby. Bike friendly only within the park.
