We stayed in site 72. The campground was so nice, all of the sites were really clean and had a picnic table ,fire pit, charcoal grill, fish cleaning table and lantern hook. The river is very accessible. Super clean, and the campground staff/hosts were really friendly and helpful. There were a lot of places for bigger rigs to be able to turn around and maneuver into our site. The only thing that was less than ideal is space 72 shares a driveway. Our neighbor was really accommodating and moved his vehicle so we could back in more easily. If he was unavailable, it would have made the process a little tricky. Aside from that, the weather was beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay. This might become our new favorite weekend spot.

A wonderful campground. We stayed in site 4 . Concrete pad level. Very nice park. Very well keep. Beautiful place.

Easy, friendly experience camping right on the river. I didn't see any barges and the night was quiet. Good for me as a tent camper, though most are in RVs. Site 91 was flat and easy, could not be the river, but was exposed to other campers. Bathrooms were dated but clean. I will absolutely stay here again.

Beautiful park quiet and relaxing .
Definitely a top 10 park !
Suggestion would be to have the laundry opened to travelers not just staff .

This is a nice quiet campground. We stayed for 5 nights. When we first got there at site 75, the power was iffy. The breakers were loose and we didn't feel comfortable staying at that site. The staff were so accommodating and moved us to another site. We really appreciated that.

Highway access
The campground is accessible via U.S. Highway 45, which is approximately 5 miles east, and U.S. Highway 373/50, which connects from U.S. Highway 45.
Policies & Rules
General
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
- Reservations cannot be made at the campground gate house.
- Campground gates are open; there is an emergency exit for campers
- Visitor hours are;
- Sites are avalible for reservation. All reservations must be made by using Recreation.gov.
- LOCAL CAMPING POLICIES A limit of 8 people per site. The America The Beautiful Senior and Access cards are accepted at this campground for discount camping. When making a reservation only one card can be used on one reservation. If multiple reservations are made with one card one reservation will receive the discount and the others will have to pay the full price upon check-in. A camping extension is no more than 14 additional camping days beyond a camper’s initial 14 day camping limit. For each camping extension granted, a camping party cannot exceed 14 days per extension and can only pay for 14 days at a time. Peak Season Extension Policy: Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway Campgrounds. After the initial 14 day stay one extension is allowed on a non-prime site for a total of 28 days during peak season (March 1- Sept. 15). At the end of this 28 day stay the camper and equipment must move to another campground on the project but may return to the campground after 7 days. If camping on a prime site the camper must move to a non-prime site after the initial 14 day stay. Off Season Extension Policy: Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway Campgrounds. After the initial 14 day stay no more than one extension will be allowed on a non-prime site for a total of 28 days during the off season (Sept. 13 -Feb. 28). At the end of this 28 day stay the camper and equipment must move to another campground on the project but may return to the campground after 7 days. Length of stay on a prime site during the off season remains limited to 14 days. A camper may stay on a prime site 14 days, and move to a non-prime site for 14 days. Extensions beyond the 14 day limit will not be granted during major summer holidays. Please turn in all passes to the park attendant when leaving the campground. Only empty boat trailers are allowed to be parked on grass.
