JG's Campen Life RV Campground

The thought that went into every detail from design to welcoming guest. This place has it all! We were traveling through with two preteen boys that wanted to swim. While swimming we thought that someone was coming to say it was time to go as it was pool closing hour…nope! It was the owners that graciously allowed the boys additional time in the pool. Afterwards, the boys showered in their own personal shower house. They kept saying over and over how cool, nice, clean and fancy everything is. While we didn’t get to utilize all the amenities due own personal time restraints we are looking forward to returning with additional time to do so. Great hospitality and kindness by all the staff we encountered during our stay.

So if you are traveling I-65 between Nashville and Florida, make this a stop for your family. I enclosed pics of the personal bathhouses because our boys were in awe over them. Everything was as advertised and the pool (meant to get at picture) was beautiful!

We had the pleasure of staying at JG’s for 3 nights over spring break. Drove from Boston over 3 days, and it was so much more than we expected. A gated entrance with a key code provided security, brand new level pull-thru sites, the pool with fountain & lights was a top feature! (First time swimming in April as a Bostonian, under the HOT Alabama sun, so cool!). I fully enjoyed how technologically advanced this place was; first time I’ve seen washers and dryers with an app! Laundry room and personal bathroom/shower combos made it VERY comfortable. Most of all the hosts were the best we’ve ever experienced. So friendly the entire time via phone, and escorted us to our site upon arrival. We even extended our stay another night because we loved it so much. I wish they were closer so we could visit more often. Thank you, JG!

This is a new family run campground. They have thought of everything! Beautiful area, excellent sites and warm friendly atmosphere. There are equipment for kids, in ground pool, pickle ball courts. What more could you ask for! Easy access off I 65 south of Huntsville Alabama just go and have great time. Photos pool, kids area and bath house

45 minutes north of Birmingham
This is a great family owned and operated campground.
It’s a couple miles west of highway 65 but the county keeps the trees trimmed so there are no issues with them.

This park has many activities including virtual golf! Everything is clean and all the sites are level. Our only wish is that we could’ve stayed longer!
We were only there overnight. The morning view was beautiful. They are on Campspot if you’re interested in booking a site.
The owner came out and greeted us with a warm welcome. Just an overall great experience

Stayed overnight in January while visiting friends at Smith Lake. Tina greeted us warmly with a gift bag which included dog biscuits for our dog. GW, one of the owners, escorted us to our campsite. Noticed right away the water hook up had insulation and heaters around them and there was wood in the fire pit. We talked with GW a while and he was very friendly and passionate about the campground. They are still working on the grounds but the sites are pull through and level. The electric worked great. The shower facility was like being at home. Beautifully decorated and there was even a bath mat. Hot water poured out of the generous shower head. I wished we were staying longer and the weather was warmer to enjoy the brand new pickle ball court. A pond is in progress, and in the summer the creek can be kayaked all the way to Smith lake. I wish Jenny and GW much success in this heartfelt endeavor.
