This was our first time here. Loved it. A nice clean, quiet camp. My site was clean and level. The hosts were awesome. Very friendly. They even called us when our site was ready early, which was very appreciated, since we were trying to leave out ahead of an incoming storm where we’re were. We lucked out, our site was on the main River, where we got to see barges and yachts go by. Demopolis had some nice restaurants and stores to check out. Had some museums, but we didn’t have time to visit. Definitely recommend this campground. My site had fhu #54. With Senior Pass site was $20.00 a night. Can’t beat that!

We forgot how much we loved Foscue. We had bypassed federal parks for a few years due to the inability of the government to keep proper funding forcing temporary closure of parks. We are back and this place rocks. Clean, well managed and a pure joy to stay at. This is one of the best C.O.E. parks in the system. We once again had a site on the waterway (49). There is just something about being close to the pages as they are pushed through the river. There is not a bad site at Foscue. Our favorites are on the waterway or the back loop. Groceries and shopping is close by. There are a few good restaurants in the area, a good size WalMart, plenty of parts and supply stores. Downtown Demopolis has a lot of history and is worth visiting, We will return again this next season and hopefully be able to stay longer.

Nice campground, but don’t expect any TV except PBS. Unlike many other COE parks, they do NOT have laundry facilities. Said last year they were working on it, but it still hasn’t happened.
