A pleasant park with well spaced sites. Very friendly staff. We had a huge thunderstorm late in the evening and a lightening strike took out the electricity, but the staff was on the ball and had the power restored soon after the storm passed.

The lack of communication to the campers when the power went out to part of the park was completely crazy.

The lot was great! When we called to ask if we could check in early the woman we spoke to was very nice and polite. Our visit was very relaxing

This is not the same place of even a year ago, let alone the decade we have been going there. It has become completely overgrown both on land and water. The area by site 24 is now a lilypad farm, while just a year ago I watched a family swim there. The bank along the water is overgrown with 6" weeds. While the grass had been mowed recently, the campsite was a complete mess. All this while they have moved checkout up a few hours, allegedly to have time for campsite prep. Maintenance is poor. Power was out for 11 hours. Absolutely pathetic.

Very nice campground. It was clean and quiet, and the staff were very nice and informative. My only issue were the ants they were everywhere and got into everything. The showers were strong with good hot water. There was a sign saying the laundry was no longer available.

I was not sure what rating to give regarding our experience at White Oak Creek Campground. The campsite layouts and views are awesome. Our site was quite large and private compared to other campgrounds we have visited. The boat ramps were good and had a site built bathroom facility. The main negatives were; 1) the small black invasive ants 2) the fish cleaning station was out of order 3) the laundry facilities were out of order. We thought we came prepared for the ants after reading other reviews. We were able to slow them down but not stop them. I decided they might be coming out of the trees. Be careful if you shower in the bathhouses. Ours had a slick tile floor. That coupled with what I call “slick” water (presumably soft, treated water) can make for a precarious situation.

Site was a huge mess. Grass had not been cut in months it appeared. Luckily my neighbor had a weedeater that i borrowed to see the firepit and cut around the front area by picnic tables. I have been coming to this place for 45 years and this is the worst i have ever seen.

Beautiful campground, the volunteer host at check in seemed to be lacking in customer service and felt like it was a huge inconvenience when I parked and walked to the window.
