Beautiful Campground. Private & hot showers were nice as well. We live nearby. So, we will be back. No wi-fi. Dump station is in front of the general store.

I stayed 3 days and saw alot of aquatic life such as banded water snakes , baby and adult turtles, crawfish and a variety of fish as well as birds. There was an issue however with someone shooting snakes in the water with a bb gun.I reported it to the host and he came up to me on the Dock right in view of the people shooting asked me some questio s then went directly to the people shooting and of course the all looked at me.One female in the group loudly stated well its not a 22 you would hear that! I never said it was a 22 I just simply informed the host so he could investigate. We'll they all had a chuckle together then the host left. The Karen of the group started shouting at me to mind my own business and choice other things .I ignored her and went back to my camp .The unprofessional way the situation was handled made me a target and uncomfortable .I had one night left but I went ahead and left early because I was so upset and didnt trust Karen or her 3 male companions.I emailed the manager and got only a 10% refund . I wont be going back .

Nice open campground with beautiful view of Honeycomb creek. Nice hiking trails for walking or biking. Staff very nice and helpful. I gave they 4 stars only because they didn't have full hookup but they do have a truck to drain your tanks called the honeypot truck, a service I have never seen at a campground.

The restrooms could use a complete overhaul, but everything else is fabulous. The staff are warm and kind. The store is always stocked, and the grounds are really pretty. I appreciate how they keep the lake weeds away from the sandy beach with a floating barrier. We like it enough that we’ve gone long term and we’re happy with our decision.

We had a really good experience renting a Lowe SS 210 pontoon boat here until it came time to return it and deal with the gas. When we pulled up at the dock at our scheduled return time, a young worker was already filling boats with gas cans (not a pump). He started filling ours, but ran out of gas midway. That immediately raised concerns, since there’s no way to know how much was in the can before he started.

My husband went into the store and was told the worker would have to go buy more gas, and it would be 30+ minutes before he came back. This was frustrating because they knew our boat was due back at 6 PM, yet chose to use up gas on other boats first instead of being prepared for us.

We were told we’d be sent a receipt for the fuel, but we never got one—just a $100 charge. At $5 a gallon and a 24-gallon tank, the numbers don’t add up, especially since the gauge showed between half and a quarter tank left when we returned it. Based on the math, I don’t believe we actually used the amount of gas they charged us for, likely an extra $20–$30.

The day on the water itself was great, but the lack of transparency with the gas, no receipt, and questionable accuracy in what we were charged left a sour note at the end. It’s never a good feeling to feel like you have been ripped off. If you rent here, just be aware of how they handle fueling and charges.
