Bath house’s should be open by now, but are not. Campsites need a refresh on gravel, leaking water spigots, trails not maintained, markers missing, and an overall lackluster attempt at maintaining the park in general. This is a great area and could be one of the best in Alabama if only the management would get serious about maintaining the park.

The Campground reservation system used a bait and switch style to make a reservation with a Senior park pass. Normally we get a 1/2 off discount for a campsite using our pass. Not a this Campground. At Clear Creak Campground they split the cost of camping into three different parts so that they don't give us the 1/2 off discount. $16 for campsite $8 for electric $6 for water. The discount only applies to the Campsite. We have camped at lots of COE campgrounds and this is the first time we don't get 1/2 off discount. You would think with the extra money that they would update the Campground.
The driveway at the campsites are very uneven and difficult to level your RV. No parking or bike racks at the trail heads. Most of the Raven trail had no markers or trail markers were unreadable or broken. When we were there much of the park was flooded. So sad because this could be a nice place to camp.

I was wondering why only one bathhouse was open for the whole park.
With four different camping areas plus primitive camping I think it was ridiculous due to they have no full hookups.
