Quiet sites, but bathrooms/showers are showing their age.

Nice quiet sites, but bathrooms/showers are very old and not kept up.

We LOVE Prairie Creek. The staff is always so nice and accommodating. The sites are a good size and it is so peaceful and quiet. My kids have the best time at the playground and riding their bikes. We have stayed multiple times and will continue to go back when we have the opportunity. The cell service isnt the best but it honestly gives me a "reason" to disconnect and enjoy my time with my family.

Excellent slots, friendly staff, very easy in and out. I will be coming back in the future. Park is clean, on the river, wild life everywhere. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

We have stayed at Prairie Creek Campground several times and really like the park. We had two incidents during our visit this time. First, the men’s bathroom on the River side was out of toilet paper for two days. Not a big deal, I just took mine. When I saw the cleaning person I let her know. She let me know the entrance building keeps some which is good to know for future stays.
The second incident was with one of the camp workers smoking marijuana. It had been a couple of years since we had visited Prairie Creek and noticed two campers parked behind the old closed bath house. The man that was smoking the marijuana was staying in one of those.

The campground is lovely any time of the year. The hosts are very friendly and we always enjoy our stay.
Is there a reason there are no swings on the swing sets in either of the playgrounds? This is such a fundamental playground piece. I know the children and many adults would appreciate them being added back to the existing equipment.

We go to prairie creek many times during the year. There has been a problem in the past with people “partying” on their campsite! Playing extremely loud music and yelling and such! The past hosts would not do anything about it and it would go on way into the morning! People just have no consideration!! A campsite started up with their loud music while we were there last week, I called the current hosts and complained and they went and shut it down instantly!! I’m glad to see that we have some hosts that care!!!

Prairie Creek is a beautiful, quiet campground where it's very easy to relax. The sites are spacious, with power and water connections, and almost every site has a water view. We truly enjoyed our time there and would definitely stay again when our travels take us back through the area.
