We camped in site 19, there were dog hunters at the pavilion, and their dogs barked most of the time. Called the camp host, they didn’t attempt to do anything.
There was no ranger on duty. Very dissatisfied with who can rent the pavilion

Prairie Creek is a very nice campground. Most of the sites are on the water and they are level. The campground has nice restrooms with showers and laundry.

This is not a knock on the campground as Prairie Creek is my absolute favorite place to stay. The rating was poor due to this last trip ONLY. The was some hunting tournament where there were many hunting dogs tied up outside of many sites around us. The dogs were constantly howling and totally ruined the peace and quiet we are accustomed to at this campground. We called and complained about the constant barking and were told that a Ranger would go by and remedy the situation. That did not happen. I finally went to a group of the hunters and politely asked them to please take the barking dogs away from my campsite. There were people that drove in for the hunt that would just leave their dogs tied up in random places. They did remove the dog that created a large part of the noise but could not fix all of the noise. I wish there was a calendar of events that would warn campers of something like this when it is going on.
You will not find a better place to stay than Prairie Creek so please do not let this review deter you from staying there.

Gate attendant was friendly and the Park Ranger was very helpful. The site was clean and level. This is a hidden gem of the COE campgrounds.
