Love the size of the sites, views of the river, and the hiking trails. We hiked several of the trails and enjoyed them very much. The bathrooms were clean. The camp host are very helpful and kept the sites nice for the next camper. Only disappointment was that the laundry room was closed due to covid.

This is very nice campground, good place to relax. Camp sites are spread out enough for some privacy but close enough to make some new friends. The camp hosts were great, very clean grounds, well taken care of. Love sitting out by the river and watching the barge tugboats, and others headed to the lock & dam. Ready to go back.

I located the camp site using the Recreation.gov app. When I pulled up to the gate there was no one there. While I was getting ready to dall the number on the building, two people came up in a golf cart. They were the care takers. They helped me get registered and located.

They even came down to the campsite and cleaned the leaves off for me. That was very nice.

The campsite they recommended was right next to Tom Bigbee canal, and across the street from the showers. The site was very level, well designed. It was very enjoyable.

Staying there, and watching the barrages going up and down the canal made the entire trip worth it. I would recommend the camp to anyone. I will make a point in the future to find a Corps of Engineer camp site if possible.

Very pretty, quiet, isolated park along the Tombigbee River…. It was fun to watch a couple of barges go up the river late in the evening. Restrooms & showers clean; sites are mostly shaded and large. It was only about half full when we were there in late October.
