Our concrete drive thru site was level and easy to set up. Personal area was large and isolated from neighboring sites. The site was excellent and one of the best we have experienced. The bath house was clean and disinfected regularly. Only negative is that bath house was hot meaning no AC or large fan. Great place and look forward to our return.

We really didn't know about this park before deciding to camp here. On our way to NC from New Orleans we stopped at a Bojangles' in Tuscaloosa to get chicken biscuits. We then decided we were tired and looked for campgrounds nearby. Deerlick seemed to have good reviews. We drove up and the kind ranger at the front office told us we'd have to book a site online (due to COVID-19) so we sat down and looked at our phones. We looked at a map and picked site 35 due to its proximity to the water. Wow, did we get lucky. Each site seems to come with a huge pad and its own deck. Our deck overlooked the lake and there was even a path down to the water where there was a private dock. Facilities were clean and every camper was in a great mood. Large sites and good space between them. It was so lovely we immediately decided to book another night. We look forward to returning!

Deerlick Creek was our first outing in our new travel trailer. We were new to camping with a new camper. Everything turned out great. We were greeted by the very gracious hosts who made check-in a breeze, and then by 8-10 deer grazing on the side of the road. We had a pull through site so I didn't have to test my trailer backing skills. The site had a deck on a bluff overlooking Deerlick Creek and was absolutely beautiful. We felt like we were sitting in a tree house overlooking the river. The paths and trails were great, and we were close to other fun hiking trails. The only problem with the campground was that water access for kayaking, boating and fishing was very limited to non-existent.
