It was unbelievable! The views and how nice it was! Trail was good but steep and once I saw the cabin it was all worth the climb!

The cabin is beautiful. It is a 3 mile hike from the Sandy Beach parking lot to the cabin.

Everything was awesome about this cabin. However, the location of the cabin needs to be updated. Almost got lost trying to find the new one. Also, a giant sign would be great to add to the trail so you don't miss in in the Winter. Beautiful new cabin!

We booked the cabin for 2 nights and knew we needed to take our own heating oil. We didn't carry a lot up with us, hoping that there would be some left from the forest service. There was not, and the oil line was a LONG way from the tank to the stove. We followed all directions and were unable to get oil to the stove. It did not light, and it was 32 degrees that night, so we headed down and did not stay our second night. The new trail up is AMAZING and awesome. We talked to some folks on the way up and they told us the new trail went to the site for the new cabin!?! We didn't know they were making one! We got there and then continued by basic bush wacking to the old trail and found our way to the cabin. It would have been most helpful if there was signage that indicated HOW to get to the existing cabin at the junction. I talked to PSG Ranger Distrct when we got back and they were wondering how we even booked the cabin since the stove wasn't working! Glad they took it off of Recreation.gov the next day so others would not be cold up there. LOVELY spot and I look forward to going back another time!
