What Guests Are Saying
Exit Glacier Campground offers a clean, well-maintained, and private camping experience with 12 walk-in sites, most of which are conveniently located near the parking lot. The campground features clean bathrooms, a communal cooking shelter, and beautiful mountain views, making it an ideal nature retreat just a short drive from Seward. Although the water well was broken, potable water is available at the nearby Exit Glacier Nature Center.

Came on a weekday and the campsite had lots of empty spots still. The campsite was clean and well thought out. The well seems to be broken so we got water from the Exit Glacier Nature center 2 minutes drive away.

The campground is very clean and well maintained. It’s free. We got there in the early evening and plenty of sites available. Most are private from each other it’s very nice. They have bathrooms and a water well with non potable water. They also have a good storage room. A fireplace and area to sit. Loved being secluded and some sites have views of the mountains will be coming back here!

Best tent campsite that I camped at in Alaska (and maybe even beyond!) There are 12 walk-in sites, first come first serve, that are a close walk from the parking lot. The sites are all tucked away and mostly private from the main trail, clean, and well maintained. Site 4 (see photos) felt like sleeping in a fairy grove with direct views of the mountain. There is a communal eating area with a food storage closer and bathrooms (also clean and don't smell at all!). I showed up at ~6pm on a June weekday and was the second person to arrive at the campsite. Only a 20 drive from town, so if you prefer a quiet nature retreat definitely recommend staying here instead of in Seward.

12 walk-in sites - most not very far from parking lot. Two clean outhouses, big covered cooking shelter with two large picnic tables, water pump. Sites are private, flat and pretty. No cell service. 15-20 min drive to Seward. 2 min drive to Exit Glacier hikes. Bugs weren't bad when it was breezy.

Free designated campground with 12 spots, 2 of them wheelchair accessible (spot 1 and 12). You will park your car (no RV) at the parking lot and cannot sleep on it, it is a tent-only campground. Then you'll have a common cooking area and the only place where you can lit a fire. Then you will walk on and find nice hidden spots quite spaced out, where you can set your tent (max of two medium tents), but no food, fire nor pets are allowed. There is also a water well nearby the entrance, in front of the cooking area, altought it says to filter/boil the water if you are to drink it.
