What Guests Are Saying
Quartz Creek Campground is highly praised for its beautiful location, cleanliness, and well-maintained facilities. Many reviewers appreciate the spacious sites, friendly camp hosts, and access to Kenai Lake and nearby activities. However, there are concerns about the reservation system being too restrictive, making it difficult for locals to secure last-minute spots, as many reserved sites often remain empty.

This is a great campground, the unfortunate part is that spruce beetle came through so they had to cut down a bunch of trees. There are great sites next to the lake and it has beautiful views. Another bonus is that there is a dump site and portable water at campground. I do wish the camp host would enforce the dog on leash rule at least when the dogs are at their campsites as there were a couple that ran out into road and approached my dog and it made me feel uncomfortable as I wasn't sure what MY dog would do while on leash. I was afraid he would try to protect me from a dog rushing out onto the road, all was good this time.

It was beautiful and convenient for our trip. We were sad about all the trees that died as we know it changed the view in the campground, but it was gorgeous anyway!

Beautiful campground with good separation between sites. It appears they had to cut down a large number of trees this spring so there wasn’t a lot of shade. We were lucky to get a site close to Kenai Lake with a large gravel beach, emerald green water and snow capped mountains - perfect view! Site 002…stayed first week in June.

We love Quartz Creek campground. Access to Kenai Lake is easy for SUPIng or kayaking. The recent sprucebark beetle kill tree mitigation really opened up the campground. It will be really nice in a year or two when other flora grows in and adds to a little more privacy.
