Cabin is nicely situated on the shore of the lake. Very windy night but the cabin is very tightly constructed, no air leaks noted. The Forest Service has done a great job keeping these cabins updated and well- maintained. Keep up the good work!

Excellent two story cabin in a beautiful setting! Amazing views and unique cabin with a lot of character. Thank you forest service for the brand new maul and two brand new axes. Wood burning stove works well, but anticipate 1-2 hours to warm up on a cold winter day. Everything was in good shape and forest service does a good job on the upkeep. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay up at Trout Lake! We skied in under the northern lights and had a good long skate on the lake as they were going off. The only negative was that both axes/mauls have broken handles.

Nice big cabin, beautiful views all around, quiet and peaceful. Can be a bit of work to heat up on a cold day.
