We were worried coming out to cabins on a non-snow machine year, particularly as it pertains to firewood. But we were pleasantly surprised that there were a bunch of rounds and all we had to do was split. The cabin was clean and cozy. The stove started right up.

Easy to see why this is always booked. Although it sat for a week before we stayed there. Thanks to whoever left split logs and kindling waiting for us. It was much appreciated on a very cold and windy day. The lake was still ice free the first week of November which I found kinda odd. I cut up a bunch of down trees til I ran out of bar oil for my saw. Should be close to a weeks worth of wood. Enjoy

Beautiful spot for a cabin, nice and remote. Cabin is in great shape.

So great to have a bigger cabin (nice huge upstairs) that's not too close to civilization. Its the right distance, almost 8 miles, but without too much elevation gain so good for biking or hiking.

Absolutely beautiful area. Rowboat provided. Two story cabin w lots of room!
Drawbacks: nowhere for anyone not renting the cabin to experience the lake, and a lot of people wanted to hang out at the cabin campsite area. You think you’re renting a secluded campsite but people intrude “if that’d be ok” because there’s nowhere else to go, possibly with their multi horse team. Sharing a small site with 5 or 6 horses was not my idea of a quiet cabin time.
Rowboat oarlock fell apart during our trip but we screwed it back together.
One of the campsites on the cabin access road definitely smells like an outdoor waste pit. That was pretty sad.
