Been coming to Trout Lake for probably a decade. Love the location and cabin.
PLEASE, PLEASE: Put the dock back in the water. Having a dock was a huge blessing for sunbathing, swimming and of course boat launching. Miss the dock, please return. Thank you

It's a beautiful and spacious cabin, and the location is really nice. It is also very well-kept, firewood and tools to cut wood are all provided. The 7-mile hike to it is pretty. The snow was packed during the time we went there, and weather was perfect. It would have been a five-star review except the wood stove was not working. We burned through a lot of firewood and Duraflame but the stove never got hot. I could put my palm on the stove and it was only lukewarm at best. It is also a pretty big cabin (two floors!) with a lot of glass windows so I'm sure that contributed to the difficulty in heating the cabin. Needless to say, it was a cold, sleepless night. Other than the wood stove issue, it is a lovely cabin though I would probably not recommend a winter stay here. I'm imagining that this would be a nicer stay during the summer. Other than the wood stove issue, it is a lovely cabin!

Trout Lake is our absolute favorite public use cabin. It is HUGE, with a nice big upstairs loft that has 2 double beds and plenty of floor space for sleeping.
The lake and mountain views are fantastic, and the cabin is 10/10.
The trail to the cabin was flooded by beaver activity, but there was a pretty easy way around it.

This is a wonderful cabin. There were four of us and three dogs, but the cabin has a two-story floor plan, which means there was plenty of room for everyone and all our stuff.
