Great location to visit. Be sure to bring your bug dope. The stove heats the cabin up extremely well so be careful in warm weather. Firewood was stocked up but damp. Be sure to bring some dry wood or the Viking Mill Bricks.
The trail up the river is fantastic so be sure to walk up to the lake.

Cabin in good shape and wood stove heats cabin well. Excellent location in a Wilderness Area old growth forest not impacted by logging and good access to Karta River.

We really enjoyed our weekend at the Karta River Cabin. The only issue was no firewood and no shed for wood.

Door is falling off the cabin, windows don't work, wood stove door stuck in place and will not close, and the trail up the river is a death trap if you can even see it though the brush. The outhouse is up a hill facing the trail and has NO DOOR! If you don't like people watching, bring a curtain.
The cabin itself is beautiful and the scenery is spectacular. We love the area, and we had fun, though we ended up having a lot of people come through looking to use the cabin if we were not there and walking around the camp site. Not worth the money considering the conditions and ZERO privacy literally every day at all hours, but that's me.
