The Karta River Cabin is located in a fantastic wilderness area, offering excellent access to the Karta River and scenic trails. The cabin is well-maintained, and the wood stove provides effective heating. Visitors should prepare for bugs and bring dry firewood, as the stocked wood can be damp.

Super cool cabin. Very remote and hard to access. We boated in out of Hollis. It's about a 2 mi hike from here to the lake cabin which I also recommend checking out! It has a wood burning stove, but if you come when it's raining I recommend bringing some duraflame type logs to actually get a fire going. The cabin is well maintained and has room to sleep 3.

Great location to visit. Be sure to bring your bug dope. The stove heats the cabin up extremely well so be careful in warm weather. Firewood was stocked up but damp. Be sure to bring some dry wood or the Viking Mill Bricks.
The trail up the river is fantastic so be sure to walk up to the lake.

Cabin in good shape and wood stove heats cabin well. Excellent location in a Wilderness Area old growth forest not impacted by logging and good access to Karta River.

We really enjoyed our weekend at the Karta River Cabin. The only issue was no firewood and no shed for wood.
