The Mount Flemer Cabin is a well-maintained and clean cabin located in a beautiful, secluded spot, although it can be difficult to find and access due to muddy landing conditions. While the cabin has a cozy atmosphere, some guests found it a bit dark and musty. Overall, it's a great retreat for those seeking a quiet getaway in nature.

Nice cosy cabin but very well hidden back in a dark cove in the forest. We paddled right by it before seeing it! We were really put off by the awful landing and approach through deep mud. Some of our group decided to camp on the opposite bank. Cabin was clean and well-maintained but quite dark and musty. Not a place to linger.

We loved the cabin; what a great spot; yes, a bit tricky to find but we were warned to look carefully. The trail was great, the cabin and outhouse clean and in good condition. It was a bit tricky getting out of the canoes with the mud but hey, nice, sheltered bay too.

Low river levels can affect access; consult local tide tables . A tide of 14 ft or higher is required for shallow draft boats to cross the tide flats. The river is normally ice-free from May to October. Check local conditions ahead of time by calling the Wrangell Ranger District at (907) 874-2323.
A short boardwalk trail and staircase provides access to the cabin from the river.
