Wonderful campground! Site 4 was so spacious and backed right up to the canyon. Very clean.

Alamo Canyon Primitive Campground is a beautiful and secluded site with only four campsites, offering a peaceful atmosphere perfect for stargazing and hiking. The campground is well-maintained, featuring clean vault toilets and picnic tables, though it lacks shade. Visitors appreciate the stunning scenery, unique experience, and the quiet solitude compared to larger campgrounds.

This campground was beautiful and clean! I use a small, manual wheelchair and didn't have too much trouble maneuvering the campground with my extra front wheel on. And the bathrooms are wheelchair accessible, which makes it even more possible!
We loved that they've changed to reservation only with this campground so you can guarantee your site, and you don't get a lot of people driving through looking to see if there are openings. This made this small campground super quiet and serene, and we had a fantastic quiet weekend away from the noises of the city.
