Great visit. We stayed 7 nights in the campground. Friendly staff with informative ranger talks each night. Park is clean and well maintained. Lots of trails and scenic driving.

We've camped here many times over the years. The campground is large with over 180 sites. It's well run, kept very clean, facilities are good, and educational ranger talks every day are a bonus. There are many campsites designated as no generators which is a very thoughtful way to lay out a campground.
One note of caution is to keep your vehicle's hood up to prevent rodent ( packrat) damage to electrical wiring. Two years ago I didn't need this advice which resulted in my needing a 100 mile tow to Buckeye.

The layout of the campground forces camp units to be parked in an overly restricted direction. Works for most, but does not work when a camper has solar panels. Otherwise, the campground is clean with plenty of trash bins, dump station, and a lot of quail running about to keep everyone company.

There was no wifi available. Unable to make reservation at visitor center!! Only through gov.com. There needs to be communication between gov.com reservations and local park. Rangers and camp hosts have no immediate info regarding reservations. This is a problem at other national parks and monuments. More than just frustrating for campers, rangers and camp hosts!!! I'll be going to Big Bend in a few weeks. The same problem exists there!!

Easy to get a reservation, great attitude of the volunteers/Rangers, and a beautifully maintained park. My only complaint would be the generator hours. It would be MUCH more convenient to have generator hours 8-11am and 5-8pm. completion of cooking supper and chance to watch some TV would be much easier with later hours.

So glad water and dump on camp grounds. Makes a longer stay doable. Visitor center is great, rangers are all so helpful and friendly. Love the ranger talks. A tour hike with a ranger would be fun.

Quiet, well staffed, safe. Showers aren't warm unless it's hot weather.
