This is a beautiful park, located literally in the middle of the desert. Each campsite is surrounded and pretty isolated from their neighbors by cactus. How beautiful but beware for your kids and pets. DO NOT CUT THE CACTuS! Great trails to hike (go early and carry water) and a couple scenic drives (pack a lunch, you'll want to take your time) THere is a dump station and water available. Flush toilets. Only a couple solar showers for over 200 sites, so don't count on even a warm shower. Flush toilets that run short of toilet paper, so take your own, to be safe. You're only a couple miles from the border, so take your passports if you want to walk/drive over.

Tent camping for us at Twin Peaks has always been a pleasant experience, from the stunning scenery, cleanliness of the sites and facilities, and generally respectful guests. Access to hiking and exploration of the area is convenient and satisfying. This is my favorite place! This year was our fifth visit.

Too crowded and noisy. Picnic tables in tent areas should all have shade awning installed. Night skies nice and late night coyote choruses are beautiful.

Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument is a very special to us, and camping a Twin Peaks campground puts you right in the middle of the beautiful Sonoran desert vegetation with sweeping views to the border. The large pull thru campsites are spacious, and the restroom facilities are clean. Whether you take a walk, take in the abundant history at the visitor center, take the scenic drive to Ajo mountain, go to a ranger talk at the patio or the Amphitheater, or just relax in your campchair and watch the sky go dark and fill with stars, it is a memorable experience.

Great campground. This is the third year in a row that we have stayed at this campground. I just wish they would run electric to at least some of the sites. I know that would come at some expense, but metered electric would be a great addition.
