We love Twin peaks campground. It is a peaceful place with lots of great cactus around the sites. The bathrooms were very clean. The dump/water fill area is also setup very well.

A favorite annual stop for us! Beautiful area, peaceful and mild temperatures. Perfect escape for NY North Country natives! Tip-showers at the group camping/Desert View trailhead area are the best!

Make sure you understand the campground is split into 2 sections, GENERATORS and no generators. Don't make the mistake of going into the wrong section. Every day from 8am-10am and 4pm-6pm ever generator will be fired up and running. So if you don't want to hear this get as far away from that section as possible.
Otherwise it was a really great campground. Several times a day the rangers had different things going on that you could attend. The place was clean, bathrooms were great. Its a nice basecamp to do some dirt/offroad loops from.

Showers are difficult to use because the water comes directly from the solar heater. This causes the water to be too hot or too cold. why is there no way to mix the hot and cold?
