Such a great little spot. They definitely make you feel like you've stepped back in time. Jennifer and her team are incredibly friendly and welcoming. This is our new favorite place to stay when going to bisbee. Great breakfast as well and they do a special dinner every month.

Normally we stay in Old Bisbee, but we weren't able to find a room. We had friends who were staying at the Shady Dell, so we booked one of the trailers. The 1950s theme everywhere is very cute, but overall it was basically an expensive camping trip. I'm not sure why the rooms are advertised for $85 a night, we paid over $140. There is no one in the office, so your check-in instructions are scotch taped to the door and your key is left in the door lock of the trailer. Our friends needed extra towels and a space heater, but were not able to get them because no one was in the office, and no one returned their call to the office number. There are a lot of old cars, neon signs, an old carnival rides that look like they are going to be restored eventually. But in the meantime, it has a very "Fallout" apocalypse type of feel to it- especially with the cemetery adjacent to the property. The space heater didn't heat the whole trailer and didn't heat the bathroom- which was about the size of an airplane bathroom with a sink that is in the stand up shower. If you are ok with a very tight space or used to camping, then this place is for you. It's something to try once for the kitschy factor and then get a real hotel room with a real shower. We were also told to bring our trash to the dumpster at the end of the property, which was locked. For the prices, I didn't expect to throw out the garbage. It is a one & done place to stay because you do not get your money's worth.

Just as cute as the pictures!! We came from Tucson and Seattle for an overnight to facilitate a bike ride in the area, and The Shady Dell was off the Charm-o-meter scale. Loved the vintage cars and variety of trailers (and a boat!). I'll be back again for sure.

Do NOT recommend! We were really looking forward to this stay, but it was such a disappointment. There was no one to be found to check in and we never saw an employee over two days and one night. There are fire pits but no firewood. The WiFi didn't work, the trailers are not well cleaned, the windows don't work well and they were dirty. There was not a single piece of silverware in our trailer, but there was two plates and two cups.

Vintage does not have to mean musty and dirty! This could be a great place with a LOT of cleaning, and the ability to contact a staff member while you're there.
