Would definitely be coming back. This place was great, full hookups, had a pool, tennis court. Semi close to the valley. Great place for people under 55+, most places in the valley you need to be a certain age to stay there. You can even swim in the casino pool down the road, just go by the front desk and let them know. Their complimentary breakfast was not great, cereal and oranges or apples. But I have a trailer so this was not needed. Spaces are fairly big, so know how to back in your trailer. Also, they do have washer and dryer and a small gym there too.

Very happy with our stay at Eagle View RV Resort at Fort McDowell. We were here during the winter for four nights. Large RV sites, all back-in. Beautiful surroundings, hills skies. Some others have commented how it is HOT here in the summer - yes indeed. There are few trees so if you are coming in hotter months do try to ask the desk for help with a site with a tree (though the trees are not that big) or at least a site where here seating/outdoor area has norther exposure. Very clean facilities including public showers/restrooms and laundry facilities. There's a nice pool and jacuzzi, gym and they serve free breakfast each morning. Lots of high-end rigs this time of year. Along with off-roading vehicles. While this place is not technically what I would call "glamping" the rigs here give that impression. Most people we have met here are snowbirds traveling across the south during this time of year. Location is very convenient. A mile away from the casino, 3 miles away from beautiful Fountain Hills and about 10 miles away from Scottsdale which has everything you could ever want. And did we mention the wild Salt River mustangs? I'm told they come up to the camp from time to time (which we did not see) however their known watering holes are just a short drive away.

(Update 9/25/25: most of the asphalt had been resealed, so much nicer now!) Great staff, good size sites. Only complaints are that the asphalt is crumbling and hard for my older dog to walk on it. And lots of thorns in her paws. Free ranging cows and wild horses visit regularly. And coyotes.

We stayed at Eagle View RV Resort in Ft. McDowell, AZ in July. It was HOT! I would recommend staying here when the weather is cooler! We did end up having two unseasonably mild days and they were PERFECT!

This is a very nice RV Park with a beautiful, clean pool, well-maintained laundry room, and GORGEOUS landscaping. The people who run the park are nice and helpful and very accommodating.

We had a lovely view of mountains in every direction, and on our 2 days of cooler weather, we were able to sit out under our awning and lovely shade tree ALL evening and it could not have been more relaxing! We saw wild horses from across the fence that separates the park from the river.

The pool has two large shade pavilions, and there are additional pavilions just outside the pool with well-kept grills and picnic tables.

Our RV site was site 201 (read this part carefully): Site 201 sits next to a huge shaded area complete with landscaping bushes, and I wouldn't have it any other way. The Arizona sun is not kidding around. It is for real! You want shade. Other sites may have a small tree, and there are plenty of shady areas in the park to walk your dog, but not all sites have trees, and if they do, they are not sufficient to give you enough cover from that damn sun.

So, pay attention to the site map, better yet, call and ask about sites they may have available during your stay that have trees. (That is how I got the site I did - thank you, nice lady who chose this one for me based on my request).

I will definitely come back during cooler months! We were only here during July because this is when we wanted to visit my daughter (who lives in Scottsdale - 25 25-minute drive away), and this was the only time we could do so.
