The sites are huge! This was a very nice, quiet campground, and the petroglyphs were really cool. Glad we found this place!

Peaceful, quiet place to get away, especially at night. Great stargazing. I was there too early in the year to see chuckwallas but the rocks are supposed to be crawling with them.
Campground is geared to RVs and trailers. Tent campers: it's totally do-able, but be aware you will be setting up in larger gravel. Reservable sites are clearly marked to differentiate from "first come first served." Clean sites, good spacing. I rode a standard motorcycle in. The monument road has a few dips and ruts here and there but go slow and you'll be fine.
Vault toilets were clean. Dumpster available. No water. You must bring your own - Gila Bend is like 25 mi away
No camp host when I was there in March 2023. Seems there are spots for 2.

Great place to stop for the night. Make sure you show up during daylight hours and it’s not easy to find where the loops are when you first get there. The map on the board should have a big x that says you are here. Maybe I missed it. Loved the condition of the facility and learned a lot about petroglyphs!
