Nice, quiet, no frills campground with very roomy sites and friendly hosts. Only $5/night with pass. You must now pay online through the Recreation.gov app by scanning the barcodes at the campsites. Good Verizon coverage.

It deserves a 10 Star Rating!! It has AWESOME Camp Hosts, clean bathrooms, the sites are spaced out a bit, clean campgrounds and I got to experience some cool people who had motorized hang gliders who were flying around the mountains!! A lot of history in the area if you look around!! Will definitely stop again!!

We had site 35 which was big and fairly close to the vault toilet. The camp hosts were very nice. The fee was reasonable, but had to be paid online and the America the Beautiful pass discount wasn’t applied.
The petroglyph site was surrounded by metal fences, so you could only see them from a distance. It was unclear to us why leased dogs were not allowed in the area, but we abided by the rule. Probably because people don’t clean up after their dogs is my guess.

Payment of campground fees requires a smartphone with internet connection. This can be a problem for those without internet (or smartphone) because there is no alternate way to pay fees.
