Moqui Group Campground is praised for its excellent facilities, including clean, well-stocked restrooms and a friendly camp host who ensures a pleasant experience. The site offers ample space for large groups and has a beautiful, well-maintained environment, making it ideal for family reunions and outdoor activities. While there were some issues with restroom supplies, overall, visitors enjoyed their time and expressed a desire to return.

Great facility with everything we needed. Restrooms were nice and clean and well stocked. Camp host was friendly and communicated everything we needed to know and then left us to enjoy our time on the mountain. After the rain passed we all had a wonderful time!

We camped at the ernst site and were not disappointed! It’s very quiet, not to far off the main road. Nice central gathering area with perimeter campsites. The restrooms were very well kept! We will be back!

A great spot for groups. We have been coming here for the last 3 years for our family reunion and using the Simmons site. Fits way more than the two toy haulers, 24’ motorhome, truck and flatbed, and about 10 vehicles, we had this year. Plenty of cleared spots in the forest for tents. The onsite restrooms make it all the better, since we used to have to rent porta-John’s for past forest camping. I have some family stay in relatively close cabins/Airbnb’s off site, so there is nearby lodging for those not wanting to dry camp/tent camp. As far as nearby attractions, I recommend checking out the CC Cragin Reservoir or the nearby forest fire watch tower, open to the public. Bring your kayaks and paddle boards for the reservoir, although the water level was much lower this year than previous years.

We had 28 people. About 7 car/van camping, 1 truck w/camper attached, 2 small trailers (scamp & teardrop), and the rest tent camping. Plenty of space for everyone. Tony on the phones and in person was incredible and fun to interact with.
Check in with the female ranger, sorry can't remember her name, was seamless and she was kind.
The 2 restrooms ran out of paper by Saturday. The campers in the adjacent group site actually came and raided our toilets and took was was there! Luckily, we had our own, but no rangers came by to replenish anything.
The grounds were spotless (before and after we left). We hiked a bit on the Arizona Trail. Our goal was accomplished of paddling Blue Ridge Reservoir and Winslow's Clear Creek and hour away.
Everyone had a very nice time.
