The camp host met us as we drove in around 7pm and she was extremely nice and informative. The restrooms were very clean and well stocked.

The location was beautiful and mostly quiet. There is some noise from the nearby bridge. Unfortunately, there is some significant washout on the campground roads and through sites and many thorny shrubs growing into the roads and sites that makes access without scratching down the side of your rig difficult at best. We stayed in site 7, wwhich had both these issues and required we back in as pulling through would not have been possible with our Airstream 30. If the shrubs were cut back and washout filled in, it would be a terrific spot along the edge of the campground closest to the river. Due to the washouts and incoming rain, we cut our stay short by two days worrying we may not make it out after the rains. This could be a truly wonderful campground if a bit of crushed stone we’re brought in to repair the washouts and a little elbow grease was used to trim back the branches.

Beautifully quiet. Overall the park was clean, just a few sites that needed attention due to the prior rains, unknown why the small washes were not filled in. There was no running water at the sites, but the host provided water to those who needed it. It's great to be able to 'dry dock' camp. It'd be nice to have a posting of where ATVs and side by sides could travel from the park. Thank you for keeping the park open.

Nice little campground, well spaced sites and was quiet. Only stayed one night on our way home. Was very disappointed that the dump station was closed and there was not any prior notification.

The campground was in an ideal spot (except it is a bit close to the main highway and subject to truck noise.). The topography, flora, and fauna, including Bighorn Sheep) were terrific. I liked the small botanic garden with native species. The facilities were perfect for tent camping. The campground hostess was wonderful. All in all, it was better than expected- a very good experience.

Very peaceful, clean facilities, only complaint was that reservations weren’t posted on sites so a camper arriving later in the afternoon had their spot taken my someone else.
Will gladly be visiting again soon, 10/10!

The Burro Creek Recreation Site is located 60 miles northwest of Wickenburg on Highway 93.
From Kingman, AZ: Travel east 17 miles on Interstate 40, then south 53 miles on Highway 93. The recreation site turnoff is one mile south of Burro Creek Bridge. From the signed turnoff, continue 1.5 miles to the recreation site via the paved access road.
From Phoenix, AZ: Travel north on the U.S. 60 towards Wickenburg. At the first roundabout in Wickenburg veer right onto Highway 93 and proceed north towards Kingman for 59 miles until reaching the signed turnoff for the Burro Creek Campground, continue 1.5 miles to the recreation site via the paved access road.
Burro Creek Campground is accessible via Highway 93, which can be reached from Interstate 40 approximately 17 miles to the west and from U.S. 60 in Wickenburg. The campground is located about 60 miles northwest of Wickenburg on Highway 93.

Policies & Rules
General
- In accordance with 43 Code of Federal Regulations (Part 8364, subpart 8364.1 and part 8365), a maximum camping stay of 14 Days in any 28 day period was established for all public lands administered by the BLM, Kingman Field Office of Arizona on October 30, 1998.
- Please print and bring your recreation.gov confirmation letter with you or be able to show your confirmation email. (note: Only Sprint/T-Mobile customers have cell service at the site)
- Electrical or water hook-ups are not available at this location.
- Quiet hours are between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
- Pets are welcome provided they are on a 6 foot leash or in a kennel and never unattended.
- One (1) designated accessible campsite is available at the campground (campsite 12).
- The dump station may be used free of charge with any reservation. RV sewage and wastewater tanks must be emptied at the dump station.
- If there is not an overnight camping reservation, then the dump station may be used by paying a $10.00 fee remitted to the on-site fee deposit box.
- Please plan accordingly as reliable cell phone service isn’t available at the campground.
- There are a number of unique animal/insect species native to this area, so, for your own safety, please do not approach or disturb wildlife.
- Build fires only in fire rings or grills. Fire in other places are not allowed.
- There is no fire wood available for sale at the campground, please plan accordingly if you intend to have camp fires.
- Fire Restrictions may be imposed due to dry conditions, at which time smoking, wood and charcoal fires may be prohibited. Call the Kingman Field Office at (928)718-3700 to see if any restrictions are in effect.
