What Guests Are Saying

The Virgin River Canyon Recreation Area offers a beautiful and well-maintained campground with clean facilities and stunning views, making it a great stop for travelers. Many appreciate the easy access to the river and hiking trails, as well as the reasonable pricing. However, some issues were noted, including outdated signage, limited water access for RVs, and occasional noise from the highway. Overall, it provides a peaceful, scenic experience, especially in cooler seasons.

Beautiful. Quiet. Clean. There is plenty of room for parking our 30ft RV. Bathrooms are clean with drinkable water and cooled with AC units when it's hot outside. Our site had the built shade cover and fire ring for a campfire or if you decide to cook it has nice fire crate attached to it. Trails nearby down to the Virgin River so the kids can swim and play.

We had a good experience. We stayed for 2 nights on a Sunday and Monday and slept in a tent. The campsite 92 has a great setting with wonderful views of the river gorge. Also a short hike down to the river and trails from the site. There are a couple of good flat areas in the campsite if your going to pitch a tent. Use upgraded tent stakes that hold to anchor your tent. It does get breezy in the gorge with some big wind gusts on and off throughout the day. The bathrooms were clean and acceptable. There is some traffic noise from the highway but also the sound of the river running. Overall the campground was quiet and peaceful. I will definitely be returning.

The campground was very easy to access from I-15 and entrance was clear and manageable even for our long RV. Once we figured out the site signage we could quickly select a vacant site and payment of fee was easy with the app and QR code. Such a beautiful site and hand to have bathrooms available as well. Definitely looking forward to another return.

Great stop and found plenty of first come sites that were acceptable for our 31’ trailer. Bathrooms very clean, outer loop much quieter than one closer to highway. Nice hill e down to the Virgin River.

Convenient location right off the highway. Traffic sound audible, but more like white noise.
Campground is clean and well kept with flush toilets and running water. Alas no showers. Great bargain for such a nice campground.

Beautiful area. The upper loop is behind a hill with no freeway noise. One gripe… no fee box…. Digital payment only! PROBLEM no cell service! Several campers with various cell services walking around camp looking for cell service. Surely some one should have checked that out before the policy change. Most people camped in a vacant site and waited for a ranger who never showed up.

It's unbelievable that you can get a campsite here for eight dollars. Very nice campground with a great view. Depending on where you stand, you can hardly hear the highway. The bathrooms were basic and had lots of dead insects. We were passing through and only there for one night, so it didn't bother us much. We would definitely recommend it.
