What Guests Are Saying
The Virgin River Canyon Recreation Area offers a beautiful and well-maintained campground with clean facilities and stunning views, making it a great stop for travelers. Many appreciate the easy access to the river and hiking trails, as well as the reasonable pricing. However, some issues were noted, including outdated signage, limited water access for RVs, and occasional noise from the highway. We chose the campground for a one night stay enroute to Death Valley. The campground was not crowded, the restrooms were clean and stocked, and it was perfect for our purposes. We had easy access to the river, which our dog really enjoyed.

no toilet paper in the bathrooms. There should be cell service there and there isn’t. The entire facility is overgrown with weeds. It doesn’t look like it’s had any care. Need some love.

Easy access from freeway, but upper campground has no freeway noise. Lovely spot for an overnight en route to Zion.

Virgin River is a great campsite! Surprisingly quiet given its closeness to I 15 on the upper loop. Good, flat parking and clean facilities. A cleared out pet relief area would help only because the natural beauty in the area includes cactus, but our pups managed okay. Not a complaint, just a potential convenience for the future.
