What Guests Are Saying
The Virgin River Canyon Recreation Area offers a beautiful and well-maintained campground with clean facilities and stunning views, making it a great stop for travelers. Many appreciate the easy access to the river and hiking trails, as well as the reasonable pricing. However, some issues were noted, including outdated signage, limited water access for RVs, and occasional noise from the highway. Overall, it provides a peaceful, scenic experience, especially in cooler seasons.

Don't expect to get down to the river bank. Very steep cliffs that you must be agile to navigate. Very clean restrooms. Nice quiet park for a few days.

Kind of an unexpected little find I’ve eyed for years driving by and I gotta say it was worth it. The camp site filled up quickly given the nice weather. Lots of rvs and people who can’t drive them but everyone kept to themselves and were friendly. The only downside is the scan and pay QR codes in an area of the canyon with no signal it doesn’t make much sense. Aside from it beautiful scenery and the Virgin river is a short hike down if you can make it. I’ll defiantly go back again ine of these days

There are a lot first come first served sites that were available, but I did not want to chance not getting a site as I had driven extra distance and I was driving alone. Wish it was possible to reserve the FF sites after a certain time in the day

Love this place. Right off Interstate 15, but down the hill a bit and quiet. I've stayed here a few times traveling from San Diego and have used it for just a one night stop over. Works perfect. Nice place.

Nice campsite. Clean and well laid out. A little mousey. Would stay there again while traveling through area, but would bring ear plugs next time to mitigate highway noise.

Beautiful campground, clean and spacious, beautiful views. We took spot 28 and it was perfect. Really recommend this campground as a stop between death valley/Vegas and Zion

Campground was great. There is a disconnect between Rec.gov. And the actual postings on site the website marks any campsites FF but the actual signs say reservation required
