What Guests Are Saying

The Virgin River Canyon Recreation Area offers a beautiful and well-maintained campground with clean facilities and stunning views, making it a great stop for travelers. Many appreciate the easy access to the river and hiking trails, as well as the reasonable pricing. However, some issues were noted, including outdated signage, limited water access for RVs, and occasional noise from the highway. Overall, it provides a peaceful, scenic experience, especially in cooler seasons.

This is a great facility conveniently located off the I-15 between St. George and Las Vegas. It's a bargain at $8 a night with flushing toilet. We did reserve a site in advance and the site was spacious. It was also clearly marked as a reservation-only site so walk-in folks would know to stay away from it.

We camped 4 days, 3 nights in our 45 foot motorhome. The site (62) was plenty big for our motorhome and maybe even another. Only issue was the daytime temperatures got to 93. Since we are total electric, we had to run the generator a few times a day to keep the necessities running. Besides that, we loved it there.

We have e-bikes and road RD 1005 which was so beautiful. I wish we had more time to do it again as the canyon views are spectacular.

Drove 500 miles, looking forward to our reserved and paid for site...pulled in. Somebody else there and snoozing away. He had a tag on the post indicating he had paid for it. Whoever runs the place didn't bother reserving it for us. We had to grab a remaining spot closer to the freeway and got no sleep. Thanks for nothing.

Great place for my one-night camp as I was heading across the desert. There was a little highway noise, but not too bad. My spot was close to the river, so it was minimal.

Beautiful views, located directly off the highway, easy self check in process. No facilities but it's perfect for an overnight on the way from Vegas to Zion ect.

Made the reservation...drove 500 miles and got there late at night expecting to pull into our reserved and paid for site. Someone already in our site and set up. They had a slip on the post saying they had paid. No camp host or anybody around. Had to go take a relatively undesireable site closer to the freeway where the noise kept me up all night. Nobody put a RESERVED slip on the post to hold it for the people who had paid for it.

Nothing particularly wrong with the camp ground, it’s clean and has decent facility’s but it barren. There is nothing special to it and most of the sites don’t have shade which is a major negative because with all the asphalt it’s makes the sites super hot.
