What Guests Are Saying
The Virgin River Canyon Recreation Area offers a beautiful and well-maintained campground with clean facilities and stunning views, making it a great stop for travelers. Many appreciate the easy access to the river and hiking trails, as well as the reasonable pricing. However, some issues were noted, including outdated signage, limited water access for RVs, and occasional noise from the highway. Overall, it provides a peaceful, scenic experience, especially in cooler seasons.

Good cheap campground. Sinks had some bugs but were mostly clean. There was a dumpster for garbage service. There was a drinking fountain for filling water. Sites were very close together. The campsite was definitely in a windy area so plan for massive wind if tenting. We would stay there again especially for the price.

I like the reasonable pricing. The only difficulty I see is people trying to book a site without cell service. We pulled out our Starlink. The host is very helpful. I love hiking down into the valley. Thanks

Beautiful river to walk down to, decent camp spots which are well spaced. We were at the upper loop which was surprisingly quiet given the proximity of the highway. Great to have the sun shade at our site. Restrooms however were a bit lacking— water was turned off for the faucets in the women’s bathroom and there was no soap. There was potable water listed but we only found it accessible from the drinking fountain near the restrooms, i.e. there was no spigot for easy filling of larger containers. Water is also somewhat sulfurous which may bother some people.
