What Guests Are Saying
The Virgin River Canyon Recreation Area offers a beautiful and well-maintained campground with clean facilities and stunning views, making it a great stop for travelers. Many appreciate the easy access to the river and hiking trails, as well as the reasonable pricing. However, some issues were noted, including outdated signage, limited water access for RVs, and occasional noise from the highway. Overall, it provides a peaceful, scenic experience, especially in cooler seasons.

We camped here on our way to California. We enjoyed a quick walk down the river. Place was clean and easy to find. Not the prettiest place but it is a great place to stop for a day on your journey. Summers get to hot for me here though. Fall and spring are best.

Super close to the highway and easy to book a campsite. Service is a little spotty but if you walk around you can get a bar or two

Bathrooms have NO toilet paper, Trash cans are overflowing, and people come and go, stay overnight and NEVER pay a dime.
Otherwise it's a great place to stop for the night.

Sites are easy to access. Watch the weather, drinking water is available, but when it gets hot, it stays hot for a while after sundown.

Campground was very nice for the amount of money. Bathrooms and sites were clean. Nice proximity to the river. Only complain was the signage that was 10+ years old showing the lower loop as a recreational area only and camping was only on the upper loop. Pulled in at night and drove around for a while looking for campsite. A sigh showing what campsites in what loop would be nice. Only portable hookup was at the camp host site which wasn't there. All other hookups were turned off.
