What Guests Are Saying
The Virgin River Canyon Recreation Area offers a beautiful and well-maintained campground with clean facilities and stunning views, making it a great stop for travelers. Many appreciate the easy access to the river and hiking trails, as well as the reasonable pricing. However, some issues were noted, including outdated signage, limited water access for RVs, and occasional noise from the highway. Overall, it provides a peaceful, scenic experience, especially in cooler seasons.

Great spot to stop for the night en route to San Diego. The reason its a 4 is because the freeway noise and light is kinda annoying.

Scenery is best of the best. Was able to level out 36’ RV no problem.

Went for a couple hours and had lunch. Hiked along the river and tried fly fishing but no luck. Great campgrounds, restrooms sinks were not working however. Would recommend!

This is a great camping spot, even for multiple days. I have used it as a breakpoint for driving from San Diego to Moab, but decided to make it a focus. And I was rewarded, no cell service (a drawback for many) and nice campsites with stunning terrain and 20 min from a good size town is a bonus.
