Rose Canyon Campground is praised for its cleanliness, beautiful surroundings, and friendly staff, making it a highly recommended destination for camping. We really enjoyed our stay at Rose Canyon. We stayed for about a week, which gave us plenty of time to explore the trails and scenery around Mount Lemmon. The campground was a great central location, and it was especially quiet and peaceful during the week.
Our campsite was excellent, the restrooms were extremely clean, and the host and other staff members we met were friendly, encouraging, and genuinely interested in making sure we had a great stay.

The bathrooms were the cleanest I can remember. There were 2 young camp hosts, unfortunately I didn’t get their names, that were excellent. They asked if we needed firewood and delivered it.

We love Rose Canyon!! We always have a great time! Kiddos love to fish (no luck yet) hike, chop wood, camp fires etc.! Last camp our restroom was horrible. If you notice your restroom not usable, make sure you let the office or host aware asap!! We stayed in campsite 001 last week and restroom had feces all over the walls and toilet. Seems it was there for a while. Luckily we had a restroom for one of the group sites across the street. Other than that, our stay was awesome as always!!

Beautiful area, nearby water and toilet, but a bit difficult to locate site as it was across the street and down the hill from parking.

Beautiful place, very peaceful. Site was spacious. Was disappointed to find so much trash in the area around our site.

I enjoyed the location of my camp site at the Sycamore Canyon loop. It was very nice to have areas designated as "only tent camping" and "only RV". At other camping sites I have been to I felt crammed in between large RV's with my little dome tent. However, at other campgrounds the bathroom facilities were much nicer than Rose Canyon, and water was more accessible. That being said, the array of hiking trails on Mt. Lemmon is wonderful, and I greatly enjoyed my hike to Incinerator Ridge trail, and peak, and then to the Mt. Bigelow summit. The folks up the road about 3 mi at the National Forest Ranger info cabin were very helpful with maps, and hiking suggestions. All told, it was a very enjoyable 2 night stay! And don't forget your binoculars -- the night sky viewing was fantastic!
