Rose Canyon Campground is praised for its cleanliness, beautiful surroundings, and friendly staff, making it a highly recommended destination for camping. Campsites are well-maintained, with ample shade and access to hiking trails and fishing opportunities. While some campers experienced noise from neighbors and minor issues with camp hosts, the overall atmosphere is peaceful, and many guests expressed a desire to return.

Parking was below campsites and campers above us were loud and kept shooting off airguns. We enjoyed the area but would pick another site next time. Also, the parking blocks had rebar sticking out that was a tripping hazard. I caught my shoe and went down hard to my knees resulting in difficulty walking and pain/bruises. Needs work from maintenance to remove or repair exposed rebar.

The campsite we stayed at was great. Plenty of room for the kids to run far from the roadway. If there was one thing I’d change it would have to be the maintenance of the restrooms. I’m fine using port potties except when they aren’t sanitized. Other than that our experience was great. Great memories were made.

Willow Edge Loop site #45 is beautiful, with a large daytime use area. The creek is right below the site. It rained, and the running water sound was so relaxing. RV parking slopes down at the back a bit. No Verizon service, but Starlink worked great, even with a well shaded site. The hosts were super friendly and mostly stayed away. I'm calling it my new favorite site here.

The good: Walking distance to the lake. Close to creek that feeds lake. Shade from trees. Restrooms where fairly clean.
The bad: Lots of car noise as everyone driving goes to lake at all hours. Parking is up hill and across road from campsite. Only 1 parking spot. Camp host where basically none existent. Campsite where not cleaned on arrival.
The really bad: Incredibly close to campsite #69 to the point your tents are only about 3 ft away. So you WILL hear everything. Campsite is on low ground. If it rains all run off comes your way to feed the creek.

Friendly and helpful staff. Bear boxes and bear proof trash cans. The trash was removed daily. The lake is nearby. All three of my grandchildren caught their first fish!

The campsite was perfect, set back from the road for more privacy. We came it was perfect weather during monsoon season, although it was still a bit hot midday. I would recommend this campsite for the locals to get out of town for a quick getaway and experience nature.

I arrived on Sunday just afternoon and the bathrooms were clean the trash was picked up my campsite was three of any clutter or trash. The hostess was a sweet lady. My only issue was it was hot it was hotter than the weather had said it was going to be and I could hear traffic all night long. So maybe next time I go further into the campsites?

After a 10 day stay in June we came home and immediately booked our recent stay. Camp hosts Toby and Craig made their friendly rounds. Pam and Lou were diligent at the booth and Kevin kept our restroom clean. Our only excursion was to Summerhaven for an ice run.

So surprised how empty the campground was. After school starts in August is a primo time to go. The campground has no internet reception so be ready to be off line.
