We really enjoyed our trip here. The setting is perfect and it's very private and quiet. The cabin is surprisingly well stocked. There is a gas grill (this wasn't clear on the website), which is a nice addition. It's in the woods, so expect critters. We had a mouse visitor in the kitchen, so pay attention to the reminders to pack away your food. All in all, nice trip that I'd highly recommend. P.S. we did not use the inside fireplace, but the cabin smelt very smoky when we arrive. I suspect it doesn't draft well, so be warned if you use it.

Loved the location and the peace and quiet. The cabin itself is older and as such, even when it's clean it's rather tired. We enjoyed the gas BBQ that was provided and spent most of the time on the back deck. Also so happy there was a hummingbird feeder which someone had filled up before our arrival. Since it got drained over night (bats), we had sugar, so boiled water and made food for the next folks. I would definitely stay again, not much wildlife around, but possibly that was because of the time of year. We did see a coati and a couple of deer.

This is a beautiful cabin and wonderful base for day hiking in Madera Cabin. There are a range of trails of differing length and difficulty. A great opportunity to experience the ecology of one of Arizona's sky islands. We saw coatimundi, wild turkey, and lots of deer.

We spend a weekend at the cabin in February, taking our 4-year old with us who used the indoor rock boulders for practicing rock climbing...We had a great time. The cabin is located in a very quiet area, we saw nobody else during the whole stay. The house is equipped with everything we needed, even has comfortable couches. The mattresses are not great, though. We appreciate former tenants cleaning efforts, the place was looking nice and clean. Some items not to forget would be dish detergents, soap, toilet paper, or you will be running out to Green Valley's grocery stores. I disagree with some other reviewers who found there to be too much "clutter" and "mementos" - we really liked it, because it gives the place character and something to explore. We spend our time hiking in the vicinity of the house and watching wildlife. We saw a family of choatimundi close by, and a very curious squirrel. If you enjoy nature and lots of trees, you will have a good time at the cabin.

This is a very special place to spend internet disconnected time to connect with your family. We have a handicapped child and could never camp, so the is the closest we can come to the camping experience. Each time we come I try to do a special "extra" job to help with the overall upkeep. This trip I did all of the windows inside and out that I could reach. I would really encourage other visitors to find a special thing to clean as a kind gesture. I want to add, that if you use the oven, microwave, fridge, BATHROOM... clean it! No one should have to clean up after your mess. I do think the fireplace ash dump and flue need to be cleaned out, I think that is why the smoke backs into the house with a slight wind. I highly recommend Kent Springs cabin as a wonderful getaway for you and friends or family. Ranger came up and introduced himself, that was great; felt like someone was looking out for us. Back patio is just a peaceful place to sit and take it all in. How lucky are we to have such a relaxing place to visit!
