Although the campsite was not in a remote area, it still had a great campsite vibe. The facilities were clean, the hosts were very friendly and helpful, and our site was nice.
Would definitely return!

We got to listen to traffic all night, louder than we experience in our city apartment. Not the kind of thing you pay $30 a night to enjoy nature. We ended up leaving after our first night even though we rented two nights.

I grew up camping at Houston Mesa and it remains the first campground I check whenever we're heading in that direction. It is a very "city camper" friendly campground. Which is why my wife loves it lol. She love hiking and sitting by the fire, but she needs a shower at the end of the day. The hosts are friendly, they do a good job of keeping things tidy. We will definitely be coming back again and again.
